'Welcome' started off as love story, became comedy during writing: Maker Anees

Filmmaker Anees Bazmee, writer and director of Akshay Kumar-starrer film 'Welcome', revealed that the film "started off as a love story back in the day". "But as the writing progressed, it turned out to be a comedy. The story lent itself to all those quirky characters," he added. 'Welcome' also featured Katrina Kaif, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor, among others.
