West Asia crisis hits India's condom industry as key inputs' supply hit

The conflict in West Asia is impacting India’s $860 million condom manufacturing industry, an Indian Express report said. One of the major inputs for condom manufacturing is silicone oil, which is facing a huge shortage, while another key input, ammonia, has seen prices surge by 40–50%, the report added. India's condom industry produces over 400 crore units annually, it said.
