West Bengal announces free bus rides for women from June 1

To ease the daily transport costs of working women, West Bengal has now announced free travel on government buses from June 1. The measure is expected to benefit lakhs of women, including students and working professionals. Moreover, the department is also exploring the possibility of issuing a ‘pink ticket’ to women.
