West Bengal govt announces ban on liquor shops near schools and temples

West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari announced that liquor shops will not be allowed within one kilometre of schools, colleges and temples across the state. He also said fish-rice meals would be provided for ₹5 at 400 dedicated canteens. "A new system has been introduced where it's not the rule of the ruler, but the rule of law," he said.
