West Bengal opens 1st detention centre for illegal Bangladeshis

The West Bengal government opened the state's first detention centre for holding illegal Bangladeshi migrants in Malda on Monday. Nine suspected illegal Bangladeshi migrants, arrested from Pandua on Sunday night at 2 am, will be held there. This comes after the West Bengal government ordered establishment of holding centres for illegal migrants in all districts across the state on Saturday.
