West Bengal probes alleged misuse of service quota by doctors

The West Bengal Health Department is probing alleged misuse of the service quota after junior doctors were reportedly allowed higher studies without completing the mandatory three-year rural service. A four-member inquiry committee has submitted its report, which also flags the possible role of former departmental officials in facilitating the irregularities.
