West Bengal to get bullet train, travel time between Delhi & Siliguri to be cut to 6 hours

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday shared PM Narendra Modi's vision for a bullet train network in West Bengal. The network will connect Delhi to Siliguri via Lucknow, Varanasi and Patna, reducing travel time from the current 20+ hours to six hours, he said. He also announced 60 new-generation trains for the Kolkata Metro in the next five years.
