West Indies recorded the highest-ever partnership for the eighth wicket in T20 World Cup history. Jason Holder and Romario Shepherd shared an 89-run stand against South Africa in their Super Eight stage match to set the record. The previous record was held by Namibia's Ruben Trumpelmann and David Wiese, who shared a 70-run stand against UAE in 2022 edition.
