Westside faces backlash over '₹49 fee' on credit card payments

Westside recently introduced a flat ₹49 convenience fee on all credit card transactions at physical stores from October 8. This has triggered a massive backlash online, with netizens calling it a "cheap tactic" and questioning the fairness of the charges. Responding to a customer, Westside said shoppers could avoid the fee by using UPI, debit cards or cash.
