'Whale vomit' worth ₹2.7 crore seized in Mumbai, 3 arrested

The Mumbai Police Crime Branch on Wednesday arrested three people who were trying to sell 2.7 kilograms of 'whale vomit' or ambergris worth around ₹2.7 crore from suburban Mulund. Ambergris, produced in the digestive system of sperm whales, is used to make perfumes and musk products. A case has been registered against the three accused under the Wildlife Act.
