In last 24 hours, Mamata Banerjee moved Supreme Court after ECI froze TMC's original name and symbol and allotted 'Mamata All India Trinamool Congress' name and football-player symbol to her faction. She announced support for Congress' Milan Pradhan in the October 6 Nandigram bypoll as her candidate withdrew. Pradhan was then arrested. Mamata's candidate for Rejinagar withdrew but later reversed.
