What all was seized by the EC in the 2026 Assembly polls?

The EC seized illicit inducements worth ₹1,444.96 crore during the recently concluded 2026 Assembly elections in four states and one Union Territory, along with by-elections held in 2026. Tamil Nadu recorded the highest seizures at ₹662.28 crore, followed by West Bengal at ₹573.41 crore. Overall seizures rose 40.14% compared to the 2021 elections, with cash, drugs, liquor, and freebies recovered.
