What announcements were made for health sector in Union Budget?

In Budget 2025, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the exemption of 36 life-saving drugs from customs duty. Daycare Cancer centres will be set up in all district hospitals. Gig workers will get healthcare facilities under PM-JAY. Government will promote medical tourism and ease visa process under Heal in India initiative. Medical colleges and hospitals will get additional 10,000 seats.
