'Dopamine sites' refer to fake shopping apps or online break rooms that are going viral among Gen Zs in South Korea. As per Kim Heon-sik, a professor from Jungwon University, these sites allow users to "indirectly experience things such as alcohol, cigarettes and food" without actually partaking in real life. He linked it to "fatigue and anxiety" among youth.
