The Akash-NG (Next-Generation) missile system features a radio-frequency seeker, dual-pulse solid rocket motor, and indigenous radars with a C2 system, enabling detection and destruction of diverse targets. It can counter high-speed, low-altitude, and long-range high-altitude threats. Its successful user evaluation marks a major upgrade to India’s air defence architecture.
