What are Gulf nations doing to bypass the Strait of Hormuz?
Amid disruptions in Strait of Hormuz, Gulf nations are trying to reduce their dependence on the waterway. UAE is building a pipeline to bypass Hormuz, while Iraq is building a pipeline linking it with Jordan, Syria and Turkey, which can transport 2.5 million barrels of oil daily. UAE is also planning a port on Arabian Sea side of Hormuz Strait.
