The prices of aviation turbine fuel (ATF), or jet fuel, have been increased to ₹2,07,341.22/kl for international routes, while domestic routes have been protected from the 114% hike. ATF costs ₹1,09,873/kl in Chennai, ₹1,09,450/kl in Kolkata, ₹1,04,927/kl in Delhi and ₹98,247/kl in Mumbai for domestic flights, as per Indian Oil's website. ATF makes up 40% of an airline's operating costs.
