Delhi CM Rekha Gupta announced Heatwave Action Plan 2026 for the city, which includes giving schoolchildren ORS before they leave for home. The plan also provides for dedicated five-bed 'cool rooms' in over 30 hospitals. It also includes installing misting systems at bus stops and halting outdoor construction work from 12 noon to 3 pm during severe heatwave conditions.
