What are new changes in IT Rules & Forms that taxpayers must know?

The proposed draft Income-tax Rules, 2026 and forms reduce 511 rules and 399 forms to 333 rules and 190 forms. Forms have been designed in a smart way to provide for automated reconciliation and filing has been made less error-prone. The rules have been rationalised and two navigators are provided to guide with the old and new rules and forms.
