What are pellet guns allegedly used against protesters in Delhi?

Three persons reportedly suffered pellet gun injuries during the July 20 crackdown on CJP protesters in Delhi. Also known as pump-action guns or riot shotguns, pellet guns fire cartridges. Unlike single bullet, they disperse multiple pellets over a wide area.
