Industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Naval Tata was born on December 28, 1937 in Mumbai and pursued Bachelor of Architecture from US' Cornell University. He later pursued a management program at Harvard Business School and joined the family-owned Tata Group in 1962. He took the helm as Chairman of Tata Sons in 1991, succeeding his uncle Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy (JRD) Tata.
