The 18th Lok Sabha sees a shift in demographics. The average MP age has dropped from 59 to 56 years and 52% are first-time MPs. Around 78% hold undergraduate degrees. However, gender balance remains skewed with only 14% women MPs. Diverse professional backgrounds include social workers (48%) and agriculturists (37%) among others.
