Ukraine has said that the world's largest plane, Antonov An-225 'Mriya', was destroyed by Russian occupants on an airfield near Kyiv on Sunday. 'Mriya', which means "dream" in Ukrainian, is powered by six turbofan engines, has a wingspan of 290 feet, and a maximum payload weight of 2,50,000 kg. Only one An-225 was ever built by the Kiev-based Antonov company.
