What are the guidelines issued by Centre to TV channels?

The Centre has issued an advisory warning private satellite TV channels to exercise caution while reporting sensitive news. It has prohibited live coverage of anti-terror operations, urged responsible reporting of crime and violence, and directed channels not to promote communal attitudes. Also, the channels must use authentic maps of India and protect sexual offence victims' identities.
