The Indian Navy has commissioned INS Mahendragiri (F38), the sixth indigenous Project 17A stealth frigate, built for multi-role combat operations. It features advanced stealth technology, weapons, sensors, electronic warfare systems and guided missiles. The warships conduct anti-air, anti-surface, anti-submarine, maritime security, and rescue missions. It has over 75% indigenous content.
