Budget 2026 announced India Semiconductor Mission 2.0, dedicated ₹10,000 crore to SME Growth Fund and removed the ₹10 lakh/consignment value cap on courier exports. It also announced five university townships, a girls' hostel in higher education STEM institutions in every district and a hike in STT. The budget also announced setting up of high-level committee on Banking for Viksit Bharat.
