What are the new ETF trading rules taking effect today?

SEBI's updated exchange-traded fund (ETF) rules shift the daily base price calculation from two-day-old valuations to the previous day's closing price. Category-specific price bands will replace generic limits, with tighter initial limits to prevent sharp price swings while allowing flexibility as markets move. Gold and silver ETFs will also adopt a pre-open auction system.
