What are the new flight ticket refund rules announced by govt?

DGCA has modified norms, allowing passengers to cancel or modify their air tickets without paying additional charge within 48 hours of the bookings, with certain conditions. Airlines can't charge extra fee for changes in names in their air tickets within 24 hours of booking. For tickets booked via portals/agents, airlines should ensure the refund is processed within 14 working days.
