What are the rules for carrying power banks on flights?

As per Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) guidelines, power banks are permitted only in carry-on baggage and are prohibited in checked luggage. A person can't carry more than two power banks, can't use them on flights, and must pack them in a separate pouch. Power banks must not be recharged on flight and can't be stored in overhead compartments.
