What changes will come into effect as SGX Nifty starts trading as GIFT Nifty today?

SGX Nifty has rebranded to GIFT Nifty effective today. For years, SGX Nifty has been used to gauge opening trends for Indian stocks. With the rebranding, all derivative contracts worth $7.5 billion that traded in Singapore will relocate to India. GIFT Nifty will have two trading sessions, from 6:30 am to 3:40 pm and from 5 pm to 2:45 am.
