What did Supreme Court say while upholding ECI's power to conduct SIR?

The Supreme Court said conducting SIR isn't beyond ECI's statutory powers (ultra vires), and the exercise cannot be invalidated because it differs from ordinary revision. It noted that the 12 documents (11 originally and the Aadhaar Card on SC's order) sought by the ECI for verification were not "arbitrary". SIR serves the goal of "free and fair elections", it added.
