According to think tank GTRI, China accounts for 43% of India's electronics imports, 40% of machinery and computer imports, and 44% of organic chemicals. India continues to rely on China for more than 70% of several critical active pharmaceutical ingredients and drug intermediates. Meanwhile, India-China trade deficit widened to an all-time high of $112.6 billion in FY26.
