What happens after a no-confidence motion is accepted in the Parliament?

Lok Sabha Speaker has accepted the no-confidence motion brought by the Opposition and must decide on a date for discussion within 10 days. The Lok Sabha votes on the motion after a debate, and if a majority of the MPs support it, the ruling government must resign. The BJP, which has over 300 MPs, is unlikely to lose the vote.
