What happens if NOTA gets the most votes in a constituency?

If NOTA receives more votes than every candidate in a constituency, the candidate with the highest votes among actual contestants is still declared the winner. NOTA cannot void an election, force a repoll, or delay the result. Notably, counting of votes for Assembly elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry and Assam is underway.
