Dermatologist Dr Pooja Reddy said that eating right before bed may disrupt the body's natural fat-burning process. She explained that during the first two hours of sleep, the body releases growth hormone, which helps burn fat, repair muscles and support anti-ageing. "When you eat right before bed...insulin levels rise. When insulin is high, growth hormone cannot be released," she added.
