What is 'Lounge Pass' scam, in which over 450 people lost ₹9 lakh?

Cybersecurity firm CloudSEK has reported a scam that targets air travellers in India through an Android app named 'Lounge Pass'. The app promises to provide access to airport lounges but once installed, it captures and forwards all incoming SMS messages from the victim's device to scammers. Over 450 people lost around ₹9 lakh to the scam between July and August.
