The fraud, being referred to as 'Salary Calculator' scam, is designed to lure government employees with promises of updated salary calculations. Victims receive WhatsApp message claiming they can check revised salary. It includes an attachment and once downloaded, it grants cybercriminals remote access to victim's device.
