What is AFib?

AFib or Atrial fibrillation is most common type of treated heart arrhythmia. An arrhythmia is when heart beats too slowly, too fast, or in an irregular way. During atrial fibrillation, the heart's upper chambers, called atria, beat chaotically and irregularly. They beat out of sync with lower heart chambers, called ventricles. AFib can lead to blood clots in the heart.
