What is behind the heavy rainfall hitting Delhi-NCR?

A well-marked low-pressure area over northwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining southwest Uttar Pradesh, along with several other weather systems, is behind the heavy rain and thunderstorms hitting Delhi-NCR. A western disturbance also present as a trough in the middle and upper levels of the atmosphere is another reason for the intense rainfall in the region.
