Chagas Disease is a potentially life-threatening illness transmitted through contact with the faeces or urine of a triatomine bug found in Latin America. Its symptoms are mild and unspecific and the first visible signs can include skin lesions, purplish swelling of an eyelid, fever, difficulty in breathing and abdominal or chest pain. Chagas Disease infects 6 million-7 million people globally.
