What is 'copyright infringement' Instagram scam that celebs fell prey to?

Celebrities including Ameesha Patel, Asha Bhosle and Urmila Matondkar fell prey to a 'copyright infringement' scam on Instagram and lost their account's access. Scammers posing as Instagram executives are messaging Instagram users through fake verified IDs. They falsely claim of copyright infringement and threaten to delete users' accounts within 72 hours if they do not provide feedback on claims.
