What is Frey's syndrome?

Frey's syndrome is a rare neurological condition that causes a person to sweat excessively while eating or thinking about food, according to the Cleveland Clinic. Under Frey's syndrome, a person sweats on the cheek, temple and/or behind their ear (not the whole body). A person may also get flushing (redness or discolouration) in these areas. The symptoms are usually mild.
