Rhnull, also called 'golden blood', is one of the world's rarest blood types with less than 50 people known to have this blood type. Rhnull lacks antigens, making it unique. It can be used for transfusion in patients with complex Rh-related issues that is extremely valuable in medical emergencies. It was first discovered in 1961 in an Aboriginal Australian woman.
