Google's 'Project Astra' is Google DeepMind's vision for the future of AI assistants. It's a real-time, multimodal AI assistant that can see and identify surroundings and nearby things, and answer queries across video, audio and text in real-time. A demo showed it successfully identifying sequences of code, suggested improvements to server architecture diagrams and recognising the neighbourhood.
