What is India's connection to this year's Nobel prize winning discovery in medicine?
JNU Professor Suneel Kateriya has direct connection to 2026 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, as he was PhD student of Nobel laureate Peter Hegemann. Kateriya helped identify DNA sequences in alga that led to discovery of light-sensitive proteins that became foundation of optogenetics.
