India's fifth-generation fighter jet programme is designed to produce medium-weight, deep-penetration, stealth aircraft. The twin-engine, 25-tonne aircraft will feature AI-assisted electronic piloting and internal weapons bays designed for long-range air-to-air missiles and precision-guided bombs. It is slated to cost ₹15,000 crore and the aircraft is likely to be inducted into IAF by 2035.
