India's 'Neighbourhood First' policy focuses on strengthening ties with neighbouring countries like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. It aims to enhance physical, digital, and people-to-people connectivity, and boost trade and commerce. As a part of it, heads of some of these nations have been invited to PM Modi's swearing-in ceremony on June 9.
