What is Iran's 1st Supreme Leader Ruhollah Khomeini's connection to India?

Iran's first Supreme Leader, Ruhollah Khomeini, who was later succeeded by Ali Khamenei, was heavily inspired by his grandfather, Ahmad Hindi. Ahmad was born around 1800 near Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh. Reportedly, he moved to Iranian town of Khomeyn in 1834, built a family and was driven by the idea to spread Islam. Khomeini overthrew the Iranian Shah's regime.
