What is known about INSV Kaundinya, the Indian Navy's engine-less ship?
The Indian Navy's INSV Kaundinya, which will embark on a journey from India to Oman, is 19.6 metres long. Unlike modern naval ships, it has no engine, no metal nails, and no modern propulsion, NDTV reported. It depends on wind, sails, and the shipbuilding method. Its wooden planks are stitched together using coconut coir rope and sealed with natural resins.
