Saudi Arabia has reported 3 cases, including 1 death, of Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV). It is a virus transferred to humans from infected dromedary camels. So far, non-sustained human-to-human transmission has occurred among close contacts and in health care settings. Fever, cough and shortness of breath are some of its symptoms.
